New Itineraries for Fleet
Including Panama, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, the ABC Islands and the Lesser Antilles

Windjammer Barefoot Cruises has exciting new itineraries for its fleet of Tall Ships and Amazing Grace, the fleet's passenger-carrying supply ship.

"Windjammer has one of the highest repeat passenger rates in the industry," said Susan Burke, President of Windjammer. "We credit this passenger loyalty to a number of factors including great customer service, a quality on-board experience and keeping the itineraries fresh. The new itineraries announced today will give our passengers exciting and unique things to see and cultures to experience."

This winter, Amazing Grace will sail on 13-day cruises between Freeport, Bahamas and Port of Spain, Trinidad. Starting next summer, she will alternate weekly homeports between Panama and Costa Rica exploring the beautiful and exotic San Blas archipelago. Windjammer Junior Jammer program, where kids 6 to 12 can sail for free when accompanied by two full-fare adults or for ½ fare when accompanied by one adult. Then, next fall and winter, sheíll sail on weeklong cruises between Tortola, BVI or Antigua and Port of Spain, Trinidad.

This winter and spring, the 294-foot, 4-masted barquentine, Legacy, will sail 6-day cruises from St. Thomas to the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. Come summer, Legacy will sail on 3, 4 and 7-day cruises between Miami and Nassau throughout the enchanting Bahamas visiting many of the lesser know atolls with quaint villages and fantastic beaches and diving.

[S/V Mandalay]

This winter and spring, the 236-foot, 3-masted barquentine, Mandalay, will sail on 13-day cruises between Grenada and Antigua exploring the exotic British, French and Dutch West Indies and the Grenadines. Next summer, she'll sail on 6-day cruises from Tortola through the beautiful British Virgin Islands. Passengers will explore islands once frequented by famous pirates like Norman Island, Jost van Dyke, Virgin Gorda among many others.

This winter and spring, the 248-foot, 4-masted schooner, Polynesia, will sail on 6-day voyages out of Sint Maarten through the enchanting French West Indies. Then, next summer she repositions to Aruba to sail on 6-day sailings through the beautiful ABC Islands off the coast of Venezuela. Renowned for its outstanding diving and quaint Dutch villages, the ABC islands are sure to be a hit with the whole family. Windjammer's Junior Jammer will be available for Polynesia's summer sailings.

The 197-foot schooner, Yankee Clipper, will continue to sail out of Grenada to the sun-drenched islands of the Grenadines, a beach-lovers paradise.

Fares begin at $700 per person for a six-day cruise and include onboard accommodations, all meals, onboard entertainment and select drinks including early morning Bloody Marys, afternoon rum swizzles, various wines, coffee and tea.

PADI Dive Instruction On Legacy and Polynesia

Certified PADI dive instructors are permanent crewmembers aboard Legacy and Polynesia providing a diving certification program for all skill levels of shipmates. They will also offer Discover Scuba Courses for beginners, Junior Discover Scuba Courses for kids, Bubblemaker and SASY. On both vessels, shipmates can complete PADI Scuba Diver Certification on weeklong cruises.

"For years, Windjammer has worked through various dive operators on the island our fleet visited," said Susan Burke, President of Windjammer. "While they offered experienced divers good opportunities to dive, we wanted to offer more. Our onboard team of certified instructors will allow a broader dive experience for the veteran diver and the opportunity of certification for the beginner."

Certified divers can take advantage of daily one and two tank dives, night dives, cave dives and other adventure dives. PADI referrals are welcome. In Freeport, dolphin dives and shark dives are also available. In the BVI'S divers can experience some of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean including the wreck of the RMS Rhone, voted the #1 wreck in the Caribbean by Sport Diver and Rodale's Magazines.

[S/V Polynesia]

Diving will be available four days of the cruise. For certified divers, Polynesia offers one and two tank dives, night dives, cave dives and other adventure dives. It will offer Discover Scuba Courses for beginners and it is also possible to complete PADI Scuba Diver Certification during the cruise. PADI referrals are welcome and, for kids, Junior Discover Scuba Courses(12years and up), Bubblemaker( Ages 8-12) and SASY (6-8years) will be offered.

One tank dives are $55; two tank dives are $85; Discover Scuba Diving Courses are $75, Bubblemaker is $45; Dolphin Dives are $169; and Shark Dives are $89. Prices are subject to change. There is a reduction in price on some dives if the passenger has their own equipment. Sail the month of December and get a complimentary one-tank dive. This excludes holidays.

Dive programs are also available on the other ships in the Windjammer fleet including their supply vessel, Amazing Grace, Yankee Clipper and Mandalay.

Tie the Knot at Sea
