Toasts the Millennium

MIAMI -- GETTING READY TO TOAST THE MILLENNIUM -- Carnival President Bob Dickinson (right) and Perrier-Jouet President Thierry Budin show a Perrier-Jouet champagne gift to be given to all guests sailing on the line's "Fun Ship" millennium cruises. The 14,500 bottle-and-flute sets, with a retail value of $2 million, are believed to constitute the single largest private order of its kind within the history of the champagne industry. In addition to the gift sets, which consist of a bottle of Perrier-Jouet Fleur de Champagne, Cuvee Belle Epoque, vintage 1995, and two painted keepsake glasses, guests sailing on the five- to 14-day voyages will receive a number of commemorative items, including plush embroidered bathrobes and custom-designed luggage, as well as enjoy special activities and name entertainment.
